Transmission Voie-Machine (TVM, English: track-to-train transmission) is a form of in-cab signalling originally deployed in France and used on high-speed railway lines. TVM-300 was the first version, followed by TVM-430.
TVM-300 was developed in the 1970s as part of the TGV project. At speeds of above 220 kilometres per hour, TGV trains run only on dedicated tracks designated as lignes à grande vitesse (LGV). At high-speeds it is not possible for a driver to accurately see colour-light based railway signals along the track-side. Signalling information is instead transmitted to the train and displayed as part of the train controls. The driver is shown the safe operating speed, displayed in kilometres per hour.
The 1980s-developed TVM-430 system transmits more information than traditional signalling would allow, including gradient profiles and information about the state of signalling blocks further ahead. This high degree of automation does not remove the train from driver control, although there are safeguards that can safely bring the train to a stop in the event of driver error.
TVM might be an acronym or abbreviation for:
Television Malta (TVM) is the national television station of Malta. TVM is operated by Public Broadcasting Services Ltd (PBS). PBS Ltd is state owned.
TVM broadcasts a mix of news, sport, entertainment, magazine programming and children's programmes. It is funded through a government grant and commercial advertising. The majority of programmes broadcast on TVM are produced externally of PBS. PBS publishes details of the types of programmes it wishes to broadcast on TVM and production companies provide PBS with a detailed report of their proposal for the programme.
Most programmes are broadcast in Maltese, however the Maltese speak both Maltese and English so English also features, mainly in BBC and ITV titles. Sunday evenings are dedicated to classic British comedy, and English language films are shown on Saturday evenings.
The English language feed of EuroNews is also broadcast daily.
In October 2011, PBS announced another overhaul of the TVM brand, to mark 50 years since the establishment of the Malta Television Service in 2012. The new branding pays homage to previous TVM identities, and makes use of the Maltese cross, which features heavily in the new L-Aħbarijiet title sequence.
Umore in scatola e miele, faccio colazione
L'orgoglio poco disponibile
A darla vinta a te
Renderti facile
Rivendicarti ancora in un'ora
Mare, mare, mare
Qualcuno da lassù saprà ascoltare
Mare, mare, mare
L'umore fragile
Mentre impetuoso lasciami star male
Mare, mare, mare
Qualcuno da lassù saprà ascoltare
Mare, mare, mare
Ti Voglio Male
Mare, mare, mare
